Holly Willoughbys 30ty Birthday Cake

art project completion ceremony in Spittasaal

In these days, the artist Susan Schumacher for an art project against the backdrop of the 200 year old houses in old town of Burgdorf invited.

Susan Schumacher, who has previously dealt nationwide with time-critical issues that changed in Cuba in the footsteps of Fidel and Che - and the construction phase of the EXPO 2000 accompanied - had long been a topic of local Bezug gesucht.

Die Zeit ist in Burgdorf sehr gegenwärtig, on many houses, the year 1810 is to read and with the monument of the Black Duke was here a few days after the fire with his black troop rest, very present.

In her art project, which was advertised nationally, and to which it was adopted as the only artist from the Hannover region, it has set the city with photographs of the scene. These images are reminiscent of a beautiful cultural and historical epoch.

highlight of Burgdorf's event was the graduation ceremony in Spittasaal to the St. Pancras Church.

called The Message from the Mayor Alfred Baxmann inter alia: "A concept that not only allows us Burgdorfer a new and unusual look at the history of our city and its people, the idea of contemporary clad models in conjunction with you. "set the scene" the great fire of 1809 caused historic buildings with the artistic means of photography has its own fascination and with emphasis, in fact, completely new aspects of our changing perception of the city's history. At the same time, the photographs show in an impressive way that civilized city life is always possible - and this is still true today - if they fit together: the people and the houses "
